Sunrise Furniture Amish Made Dining Tables

Sunrise Furniture is in the heart of Amish Country in Ohio. From the shop, in the fall, you can see fields of teepee style corn shocks drying for winter feed and bedding. Later, a horse drawn wagon is used to gather up the corn for winter.

Most of the Amish men, who started Sunrise Furniture, grew up in their family’s wood shops. By the time they got out of school, at the age of 14, they were skilled Craftsmen. Working together, the business flourished. Then in 1999 disaster struck. One night the shop burnt to the ground. Nothing was left. A total loss.

Amazingly, with the help of family, community and God, the shop reopened for business in a mere 6 weeks.

Since then, the shop has specialized in making solid wood dining tables and customizing them to our customer’s wants and needs!

Choose from one of the many designs. (See photo gallery on the right)

Choose your size & the number of leaves. Do you want the leaves to self store? Maybe, you want skirts on your leaves. Each style table can come in various shapes. Do you want rounded corners so you don’t get hurt when you bump into the corners? No problem! You also get to choose your table’s edge.— Click here to see the 72 page catalog.

Now select the wood. Better yet, come into our store to see items made in the various woods. Feel the woods. Over ten different woods to choose from. (BUT FIRST, PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR STORE’ S HOURS.)

Finally, choose your stain. Come in and see the samples. (Computers never show the true colors.) Then, look at the furniture in the store, because we try to have pieces in all the different stains and in many different woods. This way you get what you like. If you are trying to match a cabinet-bring a drawer or door. That will help you make your selection. Two toning is even available.

If the table that you like isn’t listed in the exact size you need, let us get you a quote. Sunrise specializes in customization of your table. For example, we have had them shorten the skirts to allow a wheel chair’s arms to fit under the table and yet the table top was at normal height. Come in and talk to us about your needs.

We even stock tables from other shops too! Come and see their books also.

Remember, if you don’t see what you want-ASK US. We specialize in customization.
